SUNDAY 29th JANUARY 2023 RSPB BIG BIRD WATCH
10am-12noon, Seek out the woodland and wetland birds of Marshall’s Arm
Meet at Saxons Lane entrance to the reserve.

Saturday 18th March
Put A Spring In Your Step, 2-4pm, Marshall’s Arm LNR, Hartford. Search for spring during a walk through the woods with bird, bug and bud hunting. Meet at Stones Manor Lane Entrance to the Reserve. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Contact: Virginia Hunt 01606 42667
Friday 28th April
Being Greener -Talk And AGM, 7pm-9.30pm, Marshall’s Arm Friends and Management group. An informative talk by Tim Kirwin (Wilder Things) on how we can do our bit for a greener world. This will follow our AGM. All welcome. Hartford Village Hall Chester Road. https://www.marshallsarm.org/

Sunday 9th July
Picnic in the Park. Marshall’s Arm joins Hartford’s “Picnic in the Park” on the Grange Field celebrating the centenary celebrations of the village hall and bowls and tennis clubs. MA’s contribution will be displays and children’s activities.
Monday 10th July
Schools’ Day: Nature’s Explorers, All Day, Marshall’s Arm, Hartford. A chance for children from 2 local primary schools to Go Green and discover the secrets of the reserve through activities and exploration.
Saturday 15th July
Northwich River Festival, All Day. As in previous years Marshall’s Arm will be exhibiting, informing and providing some children’s activities, to promote interest in the Reserve. https://northwichriverfestival.org.uk/
Sat/Sun 1st/2nd September 25 Year Extravaganza
Friday 1st September
Bat Flypast, Marshall’s Arm LNR Hartford, 7.30pm Bat Walk Find what the bats are eating at the bat cafe and where the bats hang out. Small mammal traps will also be set for the mammal release on Sat morning. Meet at the Stones Manor Lane entrance to the reserve Hartford. Bring a torch you will be returning in the dark! Sat 02 September
Mammal Release (Traps set Friday night), 9.30 -11am, Marshall’s Arm. Discover the hidden mammals at Marshall’s Arm. This is an early and prompt start to minimise the captivity time.
Anniversary Celebration, 11am -4pm. Drop in for a range of activities with details and timings to be announced.

Marshall’s Arm Volunteers: Marshall’s Arm is maintained and managed by volunteers. If you would like to be involved with the Marshall’s volunteer group we normally meet for 2-5 hours at 10am monthly in Saxons Lane Greenbank.
